Château de Haute Serre Albesco 2008, Vin de Pays du Lot, 75cl:
Albesco, means "I become White". The Château de Haute Serre give us since the vintage 2005, an excellent Chardonnay's Cuvée from a Kimméridgien limestone valley (like in Chablis), handpicked and passed in 400 litres oak barrels during 15 months.
The maturing meets the expectation. Its a great white wine that Bertrand Vigouroux has made with this Cahors, really rich, powerful, well balance between acidity and roudness.
A final note complexe shows a wine able to be aged and open to many differents dishes even the most original ones. Try it for the apertizer with a fryed pan foie gras or with a roast duck wings with prune.
The Château Haute Serre is especially known with the Red Cahors (100% Malbec), try it !
